NOTE TO THOSE TAKING A CRUISE:

Passengers be aware of the following regulation going into effect on December 31, 2007.

All Passengers (Including US Citizens) sailing with us will be required to have a valid passport. You will not be permitted to board the vessel without one. This is a change from prior travel requirements and will affect all United States citizens entering the United States from countries within the Western Hemisphere who do not currently possess valid passports. This new requirement will also affect certain foreign nationals who currently are not required to present a passport to travel to the United States. Most Canadian citizens, citizens of the British Overseas Territory of Bermuda, and to a lesser degree, Mexican citizens will be affected by the implementation of this requirement.

If passengers want further information they can visit the State Departments website at www.travel.state.gov or call 1-877-487-2778

Beginning next year, the United States Department of State will be requiring passports for more and more types of travel. All cruise lines will be fully compliant with the new regulations and in keeping with our interest in providing the best service possible, please obtain a passport. Doing it now will alleviate the last-minute rush and expense of obtaining necessary documentation closer to travel.

Please visit the following State Department web pages to become fully prepared to communicate the new requirements to your clients...

  • Click here to view the implementation timeline and further details regarding the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative.

  • Click here to learn how to apply for a passport.

  • Click here to print copies of all necessary passport application forms.

How can you do this?  What's the Catch?
(We've heard this one before, along with "it seems too good to be true".)

  • Well it is true! There is NO catch nor is there any "Free Lunch"!    Florida tourism is down so we convinced a number of local Florida Resort Properties to redirect a portion of their Advertising Dollars to you by subsidizing the cost of your vacation. All the resorts ask in return for their picking up the lions share of your vacation cost is that they be given the opportunity to show you around their property with a 90 minute walk through tour of their resort the morning after your arrival.. They will even allow you and your family to remain at the resort for the day and experience what true resort vacationing along with access to all their luxurious amenities. All with no requirement to purchase anything.

  • You see approximately 1 in 10 persons traveling on this vacation to Florida and the other locations are coming here to purchase vacation ownership property.   If you're like me and are one of the 9 in 10 that aren't interested that’s OK! The 1 in 10 that does purchase subsidizes your vacation. Why pay more if you don't have to? During your tour, they will offer you  a free breakfast and you are guaranteed to leave with a smile on your face. That's not a bad deal for 90 minutes of your time even by this old country boy's standards.   Doesn't that sound fair enough - it really is that simple!

  • In addition this is a perfect way for the host resorts to advertise to a carefully selected segment of the vacationing public.  They spend a large portion of their advertising budget subsidizing these vacations in exchange for the opportunity of allowing you to enjoy their resort in hopes that you will return in future years and stay with them.

  • Also, most hotels, cruise lines and even airlines run a 60% to 70% occupancy rate. We are able to fill the balance with travelers due to the special contracts we and our host resorts have with the cruise lines, hotels, etc. and our host resorts are subsidizing these vacations in exchange for the opportunity of showing you their property.

  • Also, as we said, hotels are rarely completely occupied except for major holidays. Rather than have empty space with no people using the restaurants and lounges, many hotels contract with resorts and travel agencies to fill the space at a huge discount. The resorts, travel agencies and hotels want repeat business. The hotel also wants people using the facilities, especially if they have a casino in the hotel.

  • Also we have advance direct and indirect arrangements with numerous vacation ownership resorts with sizeable advertising budgets. Through volume discounts at hotels and financial subsidies, the Resort Sponsor makes available a price that is not available to the general public. Since you will be attending the 90 minute resort preview tour, the sponsor realizes that you or an acquaintance may be interested in their ownership offerings

    [TOP]

Is the preview tour a "high pressure sales pitch"?

  • We have carefully chosen the Resort Sponsors based on their outstanding reputation for customer service and integrity. You are under no obligation to buy or join anything. Your decision, regardless of choice is expressly honored and respected. The tour agents are there to help you have a great time and enjoy your resort tour. Many of our clients have thanked us for the resort opportunity as they stayed and enjoyed the resort lifestyle and it was one of the highlights of their trip!

    [TOP]

Is there an age/residency restriction?

  • You must be married, or co-habiting (Govt. issued picture ID must show same address), 25 to 68 years old (Age of husband), employed and NOT a student, have a gross family income of at least $50K, have a major Credit Card (Debit cards do not qualify), be a resident of:  US (Not Florida or California), Canadian (Not Quebec), UK or Western European (Home currency must be British Pound or Euro), creditworthy, and both spouses/co-habits must speak fluent English and attend the presentation together to use this package.

    [TOP]

Can we stay more nights?

  • Yes. Additional nights in Orlando are about $45 to $65/room/night, Daytona Beach , and Ft Lauderdale are ~$65/Room/Night, Ft.  while extra nights in the Bahamas are about $125/room/night.   (All rates are plus Tax/Fees of ~$15/room/night)

    [TOP]

Can we upgrade to a condominium?

  • Yes - In Orlando. Condominiums are available in Orlando only and cost approximately ~$75/condo/night for a 1 Br. and 2BR are ~$90/condo/night.  (All rates are plus Tax/Fees of ~$20/condo/night)

  • In the Bahamas, ocean front condominium upgrades are available from about $75/condo/night.

    [TOP]

Does this package include meals & activities?
  • Only if taking the Bahamas cruise.  Transportation, Meals & Activities on land are not included. You can eat wherever you want, do whatever you want!  Like any vacation you will be responsible for any incidental charges, such as transportation, meals, gratuities, room service, room tax, Roll Away Bed Charges, Port Parking, Fuel Surcharges, Bahamian Gratuities Tax, Country Entry and Exit taxes imposed at Ports of Entry, Port and Service Fees, reservation and administrative fees, room service, telephone charges, etc.

    [TOP]

Does this include airfare or land transportation?
  • No, No Transportation is included in the package.  You get to and between your various locations however you want!  There are limited shuttles from the hotel to most of the area theme parks but it is best to rent a car as public transportation is limited.

    [TOP]

Do you have to buy airfare, extra room nights or anything?
  • No, you don't have to buy anything from us or anyone else. If you need airfare, etc. you may get that anywhere you wish.

    [TOP]

How many people can go?
  • Each vacation request form is for a hotel room normally holding a family of up to 4 people. (Some bonus locations limit occupancy further - see the terms on the specific certificate.)  In most cases the parents must be at least 25 years old.   If you wish to add others you may - talk to reservations.

    [TOP]

Are there any Black Out Dates?  What about Reservations?
  •  You have 18 months from the issue date to request reservations. You are asked to be flexible with travel dates having few dates in mind and give us a couple options.

  • Reservations should be requested about 30 days in advance of departure but we are not hard and fast on this. We work with you but all space is subject to availability and change without notice until booked and confirmed. Remember Holidays and peak season are very difficult to get especially in the Bahamas.  The cruises are especially difficult and if you include a cruise on your vacation we need 90 days notice.

  • There are no blackout dates or time restrictions but, as a practical matter, there is limited availability during holidays and peak demand times.  This means major Holidays, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Race Weeks, and Bike Weeks are virtually unavailable.  However, you may take your vacation at any time based on availability - It doesn't hurt to ask.

NOTE:

  • Because a number of people who received these vouchers, booked their reservations and failed to show up or notify us at least 72 hours in advance, there is a one night  No-Show fee charged ONLY when your requested vacation dates have been confirmed by your assigned Travel Agent and you fail to arrive.

    [TOP]

Documentation Requirements for those taking the cruise or going to Mexico.
  • Be sure to check the US State Department website (www.travel.state.gov) or call 1-877-487-2778 for the latest position of the US Government on documentation requirements as they are in a "state of flux".  No refunds will be issued by the cruise lines for denied boarding due to documentation requirements.  Play it safe - get a Passport!

  • Note: Only a Drivers license or other Govt. issued Photo ID is required to take the 5 Hr "Cruise to Nowhere" from Port Canaveral since the ship does not dock in any foreign country but only cruises the Atlantic outside the 3 mile limit.  Consequently you do not go through US Immigration or US Customs upon Departure or Arrival.

    [TOP]

I live in Canada. Is the item price in US or CDN dollars?
  • No matter where you live, all prices are quoted in US Dollars.

    [TOP]

How much money total will I pay (for 2 people) to use these packages?
  • We try to design our packages so that all costs are covered in the purchase of the package.  In the case of Hotel Taxes and Port and Service Fees, due to the Cruise Lines uncertainty, varying requirements and governmental regulations, we are required to charge these separately at the time of booking or travel.  In most cases Hotel Taxes (these average about $12 to $15/room/night or $20/Condo/night) will be charged or paid directly to the hotel at the the time of check-in and the Cruise Port and Service fees will be paid at the time of booking the cruise.  Depending on economic climate at the time you leave,  the cruise lines may also charge a security fee and/or a fuel surcharge (About $25 - $50 per person) at the time of boarding and the Bahamian Govt. may also charge a "Departure Tax" of about $18/person when you leave the Bahamas.

    [TOP]

How soon does the money have to be paid? Right away or when I travel? How much needs to be paid up front?"
  • There is no charge to book your land stay vacations.  Any additional room charges, upgrade fees, etc will not be charged until 2 weeks prior to your arrival.  If the charges are declined at that time your land reservations will be cancelled and you will have to rebook your vacation.  The rest of the fees will be collected throughout the trip.  For instance, hotel taxes will be collected upon arrival at the hotel.

    [TOP]

Are there any other prerequisites for taking the vacation? Am I obligated to pay anything else?

  • You can spend your holiday in your hotel room, or go and lay on the beach. You don't have to pay any other monies if you don't want to. Excursions and activities cost money and are not offered in these packages but if you wish, you can purchase them at the excursions desk located in the resort. It is YOUR vacation. You may do as you wish!

    [TOP]

What is the resort rating? What are the eating arrangements and pricing for such?

  • The resort you will be staying at is listed on the vacations page.  All Bahamas packages include the Island Resort Hotel.  Upgrades are available.  In each vacation package listing, it will be stated as to whether or not that particular vacation package has an upgrade.  You, the traveler are responsible for entertainment and meals. The prices vary depending on your destination.
